Job summary

BW Gold, a wholly owned subsidiary of Artemis Gold Inc, is seeking a Boom Truck Operator to join the Blackwater Mine site in British Columbia. The role reports to the Supervisor – Infrastructure and operates boom trucks and cranes to load, unload, and move materials, working on a two weeks on / two weeks off rotation.

This position requires a Red Seal as Boom Truck Operator, a Class 1 license, and strong safety leadership to uphold BW Gold’s safety standards in all weather conditions on a remote

Qualifications

• Red seal certification as Boom Truck Operator.
• Minimum 5 years driving in drilling/completions contexts.
• Valid Class 1 license with clean driving record.
• Ability to operate other small equipment.
• Commitment to safety and positive working atmosphere.
• Strong attention to detail across all shifts and weather.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Fall Protection, Confined Space and Aerial Platform certifications.
• Able to climb/access equipment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Team player who can work independently.
• Willing to work a remote camp with 2 weeks on/2 weeks off.
• Maintains a clean-shaven appearance if required for PPE.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety leadership by enforcing BW Gold’s safety standards and procedures.
• Safely operate boom truck and cranes for loading, unloading, lifting and lowering materials.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain, fog, and winter.
• Clean, maintain and secure all equipment per policies.
• Maintain lifting gear and report deficiencies.
• Complete pre-shift and post-shift inspections and lifting plans.
• Hook up truck and trailers as needed; deck off.
• Communicate with team via hand signals and radio.
• Maintain situational awareness and report hazards.
• Complete job hazards assessments.
• Operate other small equipment when needed.
