Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Cumberland, BC is seeking a Boom Truck Operator to transport products to job sites, load/unload heavy drywall, and operate the boom crane safely. Shifts are Monday–Friday 6:30am–3pm with an hourly wage range of $30.50–$39.50.

The role requires a valid Class 1 license with air brakes, a Level A crane ticket, and strong communication. The bonus offers $1000 at 90 days and another $1000 at 180 days.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with air brakes endorsement.
• Level A crane ticket with a minimum of 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and notify when maintenance is needed.
• Manually load, unload, and carry heavy drywall sheets.
• Transport loads in a professional manner, following road rules and company standards.
• Ensure cleanliness of truck interior and exterior.
• Verify load security and accuracy.
• Deliver materials to customers and maintain safety, service and efficiency.
• Operate the boom/mobile crane safely during loading/unloading.
• Communicate with customers and other trades on construction sites.
• Maintain contact with dispatch and resolve issues as they arise.
• Assist warehouse staff and prepare trucks for reloading.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Boom Truck Operator. The Boom Truck Operator transports products to job sites and places these materials in requested work locations. The shifts are Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3pm and the wage range is $30.50 - $39.50 per hour (Tier 1; $30.50 - $33.50, Tier 2; $33.50 - $36.50, Tier 3; $36.50 - $39.50).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip truck inspections and notify when maintenance is needed.
• Manually load, unload, and carry heavy drywall sheets.
• Transport loads in a professional manner, following the road rules and representing the company to the highest standards.
• Ensure cleanliness of truck interior and exterior.
