The Body Shop Technician is responsible for maintaining a high-quality repair level while working in a production driven environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor before starting repairs
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including: Chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, fuel and hydraulics using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
• Fiberglass repair
• Basic ability to diagnose and repair electronic and electrical systems
• Installation of new truck accessories
• Other duties and projects as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

• 1 year of experience as a Body Shop Technician
• Valid Class 5, prefer 1 OR 3 Driver’s License with air endorsement
• Fabrication & welding experience required
• Aluminum welding is an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Superior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairs
• Strong computer skills
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment
• Effective problem-solving skills

Compensation:

Rate $25.59 - $51.17 per hour. Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications, and apprenticeship level.
