Job summary

CGIC in Calgary is seeking a Bodily Injury Claims Representative to investigate, negotiate and settle claims. The role operates in a hybrid model with two in-office days, and involves engaging claimants, lawyers, and witnesses to drive timely resolutions.

You will interpret policy coverage, set reserves, and manage files across defense litigation and ADR, with authority to approve payments up to $75,000. A university degree and insurance exposure are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year insurance experience or two years related business experience.
• Working towards CIP courses.
• Well developed computer skills including Microsoft Office.
• Provincial adjuster license(s) may be required dependent on province.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, interpret coverage, reserve adequately, negotiate and settle bodily injury claims.
• Contact claimants, lawyers, policy holders, and witnesses in a timely manner.
• Set up and maintain files for assigned claims.
• Authorize payments and reserves up to $75,000.
