Job summary

Macadam Construction in Nova Scotia seeks a Class 1 Blaster to safely plan, prepare, and execute blasting operations in line with regulations and company standards. The role involves coordinating with site supervisors, drilling crews, and other teams to meet project timelines.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class 1 Blasting Certificate, have proven blasting experience, and demonstrate strong safety awareness and teamwork in challenging outdoor conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Blasting Certificate (Nova Scotia or transferable).
• Proven experience in blasting operations within the construction or excavation industry.
• Strong knowledge of explosives, safety procedures, and regulations.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute blasting operations to meet project requirements.

• Load, detonate, and monitor explosives in accordance with safety protocols.
