Job summary

Dyno Nobel is seeking a Blaster Helper to assist the blaster in charge with loading products and supporting blast site operations. You will help with blast design, data entry for reports, and safety tasks while maintaining a clean, safe outdoor work environment.

Candidate must be able to lift up to 25 kg, wear PPE, and communicate in English. A high school diploma is preferred, and a valid drivers license is required to operate delivery vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must wear PPE where required.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 kg.

Responsibilities

  • Load products (bulk and packaged) into delivery trucks.
  • Perform blast site duties under the supervision of a blaster in charge.
  • Assist in blast design and layout of drill patterns.
  • Assist blaster with blast reports via data entry.
  • Support safety programs by participating in training and safety meetings.

What You’ll Do

As a Blaster Helper, you will assist the blaster in charge in performing blast site duties. You will be responsible for loading products (bulk and packaged) into delivery trucks in a reliable and secure manner. Other duties will include:

  • Perform all blast site duties under the supervision of a blaster in charge.
  • Assist in blast design and layout of drill patterns.
  • Assist blaster with blast reports via data entry.
  • Assist with blast site hazard assessments to ensure the blast site is a safe work environment for all involved.
  • Ensure that all equipment to be used daily is clean and in good operating condition including vehicles used for delivery of explosives products.
  • Transport explosives in a safe and efficient manner via delivery truck.
  • Proactively support safety programs by participating in training and safety meetings.
What we’re looking for:
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior manual labor experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and speak English and to communicate in written and verbally
  • Ability to work primarily outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to wear personal protective equipment where required.
  • Required to lift up to 25 Kg’s.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
  • Must have a full and valid driver's license
  • Pay Range: 33$
