Job summary

Canada Life in Winnipeg is seeking an Intake Coordinator to help plan members and sponsors when a disability claim is first submitted. You will collect and confirm information, explain next steps, check eligibility, and manage straightforward claims by following established guidelines.

The position requires bilingualism in French and English, one year of customer service experience, and strong data-entry skills. This role is hybrid with in-office presence two days per week.

Qualifications

• Bilingualism in French and English is required to serve clients in both languages.
• At least 1 year in a customer service environment.
• Ability to interpret complex instructions and basic contract language.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Strong typing and data entry skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong organization, prioritization and attention to detail.
• Experience in disability insurance is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Contact plan members and sponsors promptly when information is missing or unclear.
• Explain required information, assist with form completion when needed.
• Follow up by phone, email or letter and communicate claim status.
• Review documents to confirm eligibility for coverage.
• Set up claims in line with contract and group requirements.
• Organize daily work to meet service standards and deadlines.
