Job summary

Medavie Inc. is seeking aPermanent full-time Underwriting-related role in Charlottetown, offering a hybrid work arrangement and comprehensive benefits.

The position emphasizes teamwork, accurate financial statements, and strong stakeholder relationships within a not-for-profit national health solutions partner. Ideal candidates will have a post-secondary background in business, math, actuarial science, statistics or computer science, plus 1 year of underwriting experience and proficiency in

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in business administration, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or computer science.
• 1 year of Group Underwriting experience recommended.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
• Bilingualism (French and English).

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for ASO and Retention groups in accordance with financial agreements.
• Ensure the wording on the financial agreements is sound.
• Ensure underwriting targets are met for growth and profitability.
• Development and ongoing maintenance of direct relationships with sales, clients and producers.
• Continuous dealings with internal underwriting staff and other internal customers (Finance, Case management, Group Admin), the agent/broker/consultant network and policyholders.

Key Responsibilities

Pay Range: 53,235 - 59,890 CAD

The Base Pay range may vary depending on the successful candidate or other relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience and education/training.

In addition to Base Pay, eligible Medavie employees may participate in various performance-based incentive programs. Payments under these programs are discretionary and subject to both individual and organizational results.
