Job summary

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Credit Qualifications and related credit knowledge and skills according to established standards.
• Knowledge of federal, provincial/local laws pertaining to Consumer Collections.
• Knowledge of BMO products and services.
• Knowledge of competitive marketplace and trends in product offerings.
• Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
• Verbal & written communication skills — in-depth.

Responsibilities

• Delivers exceptional customer service that builds trust through expertise, responsive service and support.

• Addresses complex escalated customer requests and transactions.
• Contacts customers to obtain information and keeps them informed of status of payments.
• Executes established loss mitigation processes for non-performing and high-risk accounts.
• Handles incoming calls professionally and efficiently.
• Provides advice on payments and collections strategies in customers' best interests.
• Gathers and formats data into reports and dashboards for regular and ad-hoc needs.
• Develops and executes short-term tactics to drive specific behaviours and results.
• Leads design and management of core collections processes and programs.
