Job summary

Bird Construction is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern for an 8-month co-op starting September 2026, based in multiple Canadian cities including Calgary. You will gather and analyze data, develop dashboards, and support data-driven business insights while working under supervision and with a technical mentor. The role requires ongoing student status with a minimum 3.0 GPA and a valid work permit.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, or an equivalent program.
• Will complete at least one more semester of education after the internship and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Ability to adapt to change and build positive relationships.
• Residency or valid work permit to work for Bird Construction or subsidiaries.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the team to gather, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.
• Assist in developing data collection processes, data cleansing, and validation procedures.
• Help create reports, dashboards, and visualizations for business stakeholders.
• Conduct data analysis to identify patterns and insights for strategic decisions.
• Monitor and evaluate business performance metrics and KPIs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ad-hoc data requests.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging BI analytics technologies.
