Job summary

Definity is offering a Winter 2027 co-op placement for students pursuing computer science, mathematics, data analysis, actuarial science, or related fields. As part of the BI team, you'll complete data requests and deliver reporting to internal business partners within agreed timelines.

You will support senior BI team members by building reports and dashboards in Tableau, using BigQuery SQL, and testing your work.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of any dashboard development tool (Tableau preferred).
• Experience with SQL (BigQuery preferred).
• Experience with Excel would be an asset.
• Ability to test own work and an eye for data reconciliation.
• Willingness to own your work and its outcomes.
• On track for University or college degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Analysis, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Complete BI data requests to deliver critical data & reporting to internal business partners within agreed timelines.
• Support senior BI team members with building & maintaining a variety of reports (BigQueryl SQL) & dashboards (Tableau) in service of diverse stakeholders
• Demonstrate clear & concise communication with the project team and business stakeholders.
• Learn about Business Intelligence and the P&C insurance industry.
