Job summary

Murphy Hospitality Group's Barrington Steakhouse & Oyster Bar in Halifax is seeking a friendly bartender to deliver exceptional service, craft cocktails, and provide knowledgeable wine recommendations.

You will work with a team to ensure a safe, upbeat dining experience, handle orders accurately, and uphold liquor laws. Some shifts may include closing supervisor duties with a pay raise.

Qualifications

• High-end bartending experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of classic cocktails.
• Advanced wine knowledge is an asset.
• Knowledge of Aloha POS is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Advise guests regarding contents of drinks, cocktails, and beer.
• Take orders from guests, ensuring accuracy and prompt service.
• Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer, and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Relay menu items and products to provide optimum guest service.
• Enforce provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
• Clean draft beer system, bar area and glassware.
• Provide seamless guest service while ensuring they have a memorable experience by providing timely service with an upbeat personality.
• Work alongside the restaurant team to establish a safe and fun atmosphere.
• This position will at times be responsible for Closing Supervisor duties. During these occasions, wage will be increased by $1 per hour.
