Job summary

Fairmont Royal York in Toronto seeks a bartender to lead our guests' dining experience with crafted cocktails and warm, attentive service. Your expertise in mixology and knowledge of wine pairings will enhance every guest's visit.

You will apply luxury hospitality standards, ensure memorable service, and support a seamless dining experience. Starting wage is $20.30 per hour with potential increases after six months, plus meals, discounts, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience in a restaurant/food and beverage setting.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player attitude.
• Excellent cocktail and mixology knowledge required.
• Intermediate bartending etiquette and technical skills.
• Smart Serve training program certification required.
• Must be age of majority to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Cash handling abilities.
• Previous bartending experience in a Luxury hotel and/or bar.
• Bartending and/or Mixology certificate an asset.

• Craft Perfect Beverages: Prepare drinks to guest specifications while maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Deliver Unmatched Service: Offer personalized, friendly, and efficient service, assisting guests with menu inquiries and ensuring their satisfaction.
• Enhance Dining Experiences: Suggest wine pairings and menu selections to elevate meals, ensuring every guest leaves happy and satisfied.
• Master the Menu: Have full knowledge of our diverse menu and beverage offerings, including all special promotions, to provide expert recommendations.
• Resolve Issues Gracefully: Address and resolve any guest dissatisfaction, ensuring a positive outcome.
• Maintain Stock and Inventory: Efficiently manage daily requisitions and complete month-end inventory accurately.
• Foster Teamwork: Work harmoniously with co-workers, assisting with duties while maintaining a high standard of guest experience.

• Constant standing and walking throughout shift
