Job summary

Old Yale Brewing is looking for a friendly bartender to join our Chilliwack team. You will guide guests through tastings, prepare drinks to our standards, and contribute to a welcoming, high-energy atmosphere.

Experience in bartending or hospitality is preferred, with a passion for craft beer and guest satisfaction. Training will cover safety, service, and product knowledge at our Chilliwack location.

The time has finally come for Old Yale Brewing Craft Brewery + Kitchen Chilliwack to reopen its doors, but first we need to fill it with some awesome people…aka YOU!

The Role

At Old Yale Brewing, our Bartenders are more than drink-makers. They're hosts, storytellers, and ambassadors of the OYB experience. From guiding guests through tasting flights and food pairings to delivering exceptional hospitality, you'll help create memorable experiences that inspire our community one person, one beer, and one experience at a time.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to OYB standards.
• Educate guests on beer styles, food pairings, seasonal offerings, and merchandise.
• Process orders and payments accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain bar inventory, cleanliness, and organization.
• Support retail sales, special events, and overall restaurant operations.
• Uphold liquor service, food safety, and workplace safety standards.

Key Qualifications

• Serving It Right (BC) or ProServe (AB) certification required.
• Previous bartending, hospitality, or customer service experience.
• Strong communication and guest service skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for hospitality, food, and craft beer.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and work flexible hours.
