Job summary

Compass Group Canada is hiring a General Helper to assist in preparing, presenting and serving meals and drinks, ensuring quality and presentation. The role includes following recipes for coffee drinks such as espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino, with a focus on safety and sanitation.

The position notes an hourly wage of $17.75 with compensation determined by skills, experience and internal equity. Prior AI screening tools may be used during recruitment. Canadian work experience is not required.

Qualifications

• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Good command of English, both verbal and written
• Previous food service experience in healthcare, hotel, restaurant, or fast food is considered an asset

Responsibilities

• Conduct work in accordance with safety standards.
• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs
• Educate customers by presenting and explaining the coffee drink menu, answering questions
• Prepare coffee drinks by following prescribed recipes and preparation techniques for coffee drinks, such as, espresso, cafe latte, and cappuccino
• Perform general cleaning duties; remove trash and garbage to designated areas.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Ability to work in various workstations including meal distribution area (packaging).
• Willing to learn skid wrapping of finished product.
• Food preparation and cooking as needed
