Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a personable Barista to join our coffee bar team in British Columbia. You will welcome customers, prepare espresso drinks and related items, educate customers on the menu, and ensure a clean, inviting service area.

You will follow recipes for beverages, maintain stock and equipment, and collaborate with teammates to deliver high-quality service in a fast-paced environment. Prior barista experience is a plus, and strong communication is essential.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers by determining their coffee interests and needs.
• Educate customers by presenting the coffee drink menu and answering questions.
• Prepare drinks following prescribed recipes (espresso, cafe latte, cappuccino).
• Maintain inventories by replenishing coffee bean supply and keeping shop stocked.
• Keep equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following sanitation regulations.
• Improve quality results by evaluating processes and improving the store/coffee bar.
