Full Job Description
Minogue Medical is seeking a highly motivated Bariatric Surgery Sales Specialist who will report directly to the Vice President of Sales. The incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong client relationships, while developing and growing the current portfolio of medical devices and healthcare equipment in Ontario, specializing in Bariatric Surgery devices. The Territory Manager will be recognized as an expert in their field and have a deep understanding of innovative medical devices and cutting-edge healthcare technologies.
KEY OBJECTIVES
- Expand the Ontario portfolio through strategic business development.
- Strengthen existing partnerships and forge new relationships with key clinical and healthcare institutions.
- Achieve sales targets and establish Minogue Medical as a leader in the healthcare sector.
Collaboration with Head Office Teams
- Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Business Development teams at Minogue Medical’s head office to ensure alignment of sales strategies with broader company goals.
- Provide market feedback and insights to the Marketing team to shape future product development and promotional activities.
- Work with the Business Development team to identify new growth opportunities and strategic initiatives, enhancing the company’s market presence in Ontario.
- Participate in joint initiatives that drive brand awareness and product adoption in key healthcare sectors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build strong, enduring relationships with key clinical partners across the bariatric surgery fields and training institutions.
- Lead territory business development to meet and exceed sales targets.
- Drive transformative sales strategies for Minogue Medical’s products across a diverse customer base.
- Present new products and accessories through a combination of education, sales, and training initiatives.
- Continuously develop and maintain relationships that enhance current business networks and drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Proactively identify and develop new clients, expanding Minogue Medical’s footprint in the Ontario healthcare market.
- Develop and execute a robust business plan to surpass sales and service objectives in all healthcare institutions within the province.
- Lead contract negotiations to close sales deals with a focus on profitability.
- Stay ahead of competitor activities and maintain thorough knowledge of competitor products.
Education Role
- Build relationships with clinical partners to increase the adoption and awareness of Minogue Medical's innovative products.
- Educate healthcare professionals through compelling presentations, demonstrations, and workshops.
- Provide hands-on clinical and technical support for surgeons and operating room staff during product implementations.
- Offer tailored training sessions to physicians and hospital staff, ensuring the successful use and integration of Minogue products.
- Collaborate on strategies to enhance brand awareness and position Minogue Medical as a trusted leader in the medical device industry.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in biology, health sciences, business, or a related field.
- 3 years of proven success in healthcare industry sales, ideally in medical devices or healthcare technology.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of bariatric surgery devices and protocols, with hands-on experience in a clinical setting being a valuable asset.
- Skilled in territory business development with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Comfortable with frequent travel within Ontario to meet the demands of the role.
- A self-starter with a proactive attitude, strong initiative, and the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and efficiently manage time.
- Professional, solution-oriented, and highly motivated to succeed.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Previous clinical experience in a surgical or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
