Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) seeks a Bar Supervisor to enhance the customer experience in military messes, golf, curling and marina bars. You will organize, supervise and schedule daily bar activities, build rapport with the military community and support events big and small.

You’ll provide admin support, handle beverages, maintain stock, and order supplies. You will operate a POS system, generate daily sales reports and ensure compliance with liquor laws across Ontario.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with beverage sector experience.
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (ON).
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (ON).
• Food Handling Certification, as required.
• Valid Driver’s Licence (ON), an asset.

Responsibilities

• Organize, supervise and schedule day-to-day bar activities for bar staff.
• Build rapport with the military community and participate in military traditions.
• Provide administrative support to bar operations and manage beverages, inventory and supplies.
• Operate a Point of Sales system and prepare reports on cash/inventory transactions (DSR).

THE ROLE

As a Bar Supervisor, you will contribute to an excellent customer experience in the military messes, golf, curling and marinas bar operations. You will organize, supervise and schedule the day-to-day bar activities for the bar staff for big events and the everyday moments. You will build a rapport with the military community and be part of various military traditions.

The Bar Supervisor will provide administrative support to bar operations and a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take-down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system; prepare reports on cash/inventory transactions such as daily sales reports (DSR) and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• High school diploma and several years of experience in beverage sector or a related field
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol (ON)
• Must possess a Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (ON)
• Food Handling Certification, as required
• Valid Driver’s Licence (ON), an asset
