Job summary

Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS) is seeking a bartender to join our team in Alberta, delivering excellent service to military members, veterans and families at the messes, golf and curling operations and marinas. You will prepare and serve beverages, maintain bar inventory and support events with professionalism and integrity.

This on-site role requires legal age to serve alcohol in Alberta, a Provincial RSA certificate, and strong customer service and cash handling skills.

Qualifications

• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Alberta.
• Must possess a Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification.
• Experience in serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve beverages across military messes, golf, curling operations and marinas.
• Maintain bar inventory and order supplies; set up and takedown of functions.
• Operate Point of Sale system, keep bar area clean and ensure liquor-law compliance.
• Collaborate with team to provide excellent customer experience for members and guests.

THE ROLE

As a Bartender, you provide an excellent customer experience in our military messes, golf and curling operations and marinas. During big events to every day moments, you will build a rapport with the military community and get to experience various military traditions.

The Bartender will provide a variety of services such as preparing and serving beverages, maintaining inventory of bar stock and ordering supplies and assisting in the set-up and take down of social and military functions. You will operate a Point of Sales system, provide a clean bar area and ensure compliance with provincial liquor legislation and regulations.

Education, Certifications and Licenses

• An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience
• Must be of legal age to serve alcohol in Alberta
• Must possess a Provincial Responsible Service of Alcohol certification
