Job summary

Go2hr is seeking a full-time banquet supervisor for our Cranbrook, BC location. You will supervise staff, train team members in sanitation and safety, and align operations with quality standards in a fast-paced restaurant setting.

Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, coordinating food service tasks, and addressing guest concerns while ensuring smooth service and adherence to culinary genres. On-site role with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in food service or banquet operations.
• Experience supervising a team in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel setting.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety procedures in food service.

Responsibilities

• Establish methods to meet work schedules.
• Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff.
• Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation.
• Hire food service staff.
• Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
• Prepare budget and cost estimates.
• Address customers’ complaints or concerns.
• Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage.
• Prepare and submit reports.
• Prepare food order summaries for chef.
• Must have knowledge of the establishment’s culinary genres.
• Supervise and check assembly of trays.
• Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys.
• Establish work schedules.
