Job summary

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hospitality company, is seeking a Banquet Setup at the Delta Guelph Conference Center in Guelph, ON. The role covers setting up, serving, and breaking down banquet functions with emphasis on safety, presentation, and guest satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and familiarity with major hospitality brands' processes. The position requires physical stamina, teamwork, and flexibility to work nights, weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
• Ability to read BEOs and set up functions accordingly.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Able to lift/move heavy equipment and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Service, set-up and break down assigned functions in a safe manner.
• Read BEOs and prepare equipment and buffet stations.
• Set tables and buffets with correct presentation and cleanliness.
• Assist Banquet Captain with setup/breakdown and guest service.
• Complete event paperwork and post-event duties.
• Maintain neat banquet areas and properly store equipment.
• Adhere to uniform, grooming and appearance standards.
