Job summary

InnVest Hotels in Kingston, Ontario is seeking a friendly Banquet Server to greet guests, set tables and assist with service during functions. You will coordinate with the kitchen and supervisors to ensure smooth course delivery and maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the event spaces.

Hours are primarily evenings, weekends and holidays with the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced events setting.
• Legally able to serve alcohol in Ontario; relevant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests courteously and maintain visibility in your section.
• Organize and set tables, stations, buffets and carts per standards (includes linen, china, silver, glassware).
• Communicate special requests to the supervisor/kitchen.
• Use proper serving techniques and ensure timely clearing of courses.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in the function room and service area.
• Ensure banquet storage and service area is clean and orderly at end of shift.
