Job summary

Synechron seeks an experienced L2/L3 Application/Production Support Engineer to support reconciliation and post-trade applications in Banking and Capital Markets. The role emphasizes production monitoring, incident resolution, RCA, and collaboration with L3, Development, and Infrastructure teams.

It requires strong troubleshooting, stakeholder communication, and ability to work in a 24x7 environment. The base salary varies by geography, but Halifax, NS candidates can expect CAD 95K–110K per year

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years in L3 Application/Production Support within Banking, Capital Markets, or Investment Banking environments.
• Strong experience with Unix/Linux administration and troubleshooting.
• Strong SQL skills for production issue analysis and data validation.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes including Change & Service Request Management.
• Experience with application/infrastructure monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
• Experience with Shell scripting for operational support and automation.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 production support for reconciliation, post-trade, settlement, and related financial apps.
• Monitor health of applications, systems, interfaces, batch jobs, and scheduled processes.
• Investigate, triage, and resolve production incidents within SLAs.
• Perform RCA and contribute to problem management activities.
• Support production releases, changes, configurations, and deployment validation.
• Maintain incident records and knowledge articles; document procedures.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotations and ensure platform stability.
