Job summary

Central Alberta Co-op is hiring a Bakery Clerk to join our team in Alberta. This casual role offers less than 24 hours per week with weekday and weekend shifts across mornings, afternoons and evenings. You will help with customer service, bakery product preparation, and general shop duties under the supervision of bakers.

• Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed.
• Set up products for the following day.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Are you dedicated to providing exceptional customer service? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments? Timberlands Food Store presents the perfect opportunity for you! We're currently looking for a Bakery Clerk to join our dynamic team.

We are participating in the Alberta Youth Incentive Program which supports hiring youth from the ages 15-24.

Position: Bakery Clerk

Casual:Less than 24 hours per week

Availability:Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service

• Package and label bakery products for sale

• Perform tasks such as slicing bread, frying donuts, utilizing ovens

• Assist in production as directed by bakers

• Stock shelves and pull freezer products as needed

• Assist in setting up products for the following day

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

• Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Team player with the ability to work independently

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs;some heavy lifting is required

• Prior experience in a bakery setting is an asset; however, training is available

• Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permitto employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
