Job summary

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for the position of part-time casual Bakery Clerk at our Food Store location in La Ronge, Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, you will prepare, package, and display bakery items, monitor freshness, and assist customers with a friendly, efficient service approach.

The role requires a flexible schedule, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and familiarity with Food Safe procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail bakery setting is asset.
• Honest, trustworthy, results-oriented.
• Strongly service-oriented, capable of assisting customers.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.
• Able to meet the physical requirements including lifting 25-50lbs, standing, walking, kneeling.
• Familiar with Food Safe procedures and practices.
• Flexible work schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate customer-focused service at all touch points.
• Provide legendary service through various communication channels.
• Prepare, package, and label bakery products to Co-op standards with production records.
• Maintain and display all bakery products according to department standards.
• Monitor code dates; follow FIFO for fresh inventory.
• Accept and prepare cake orders per customer specifications.
• Keep the department clean and well-maintained.
• Follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Reporting to the Bakery Team Leader, responsibilities for the position include the following:

• Provide legendary service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Prepare, package, and label bakery products to Lake Country Co-op standards while maintaining production records.
• Maintain and display all types of bakery products according to department standards.
• Monitor code dates to always ensure the freshest inventory is on the shelf; follow First in, first out (FIFO).
• Accept and prepare cake orders according to customer specifications.
• Ensure to keep a clean and well-maintained department.
• Support and follow Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
