Job summary

Lake Country Co-op invites applications for a permanent part-time Clerk/Cashier at our C-Store and Gas Bar location in Big River, Saskatchewan. You will handle guests, operate the POS, stock shelves, and perform housekeeping duties while following safety and age-restricted item policies.

Reporting to the C-Store Team Leader, you’ll ensure Legendary Service across channels, contribute to asset protection programs, and participate in daily reconciliations and reporting.

Qualifications

• Well organized with a high level of production and minimal supervision.
• Honest, trustworthy, results oriented and customer focused.
• Attentive to detail with strong cash handling skills.
• Able to stand, work indoors/outdoors, and lift 20–25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-store service; serve guests; operate the POS system.
• Stock and face shelves; maintain general housekeeping.
• Adhere to safety and age-restricted item policies (lottery, tobacco).
• Receive, price and display merchandise; complete reconciliations and reports.

Reporting to the C-Store Team Leader, responsibilities for this position include the following:

• Demonstrate the behaviors and actions to support Lake Country Co-operative’s vision, mission, and safety principles to make a difference in members lives, with a strong customer focused approach.
• Provide Legendary Service at all touch points through various communication channels.
• Provide in-store service; serve guests, operate the point of sale (POS) system, stock shelves, face shelves, and perform general housekeeping duties.
• Maintain a safe and efficient area while adhering to company and government policies, procedures, and standards in social responsibility of the selling of age restricted items such as lottery, tobacco.
• Ensure a culture of safety while maximizing operational efficiency.
• Have a good working understanding of the POS system.
• Receive, price and display merchandise as required specified by the team leader.
• Complete the necessary daily reconciliations and reports.
• Support and follow the Asset Protection and Safety Management systems, policies and procedures.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
