Job summary

Walmart Canada is seeking a Bakery Associate to join the team in Waterdown, Ontario. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service, maintaining bakery displays, and assisting with stocking and sale of bakery goods.

You will ensure quality in merchandise, follow temperature and food safety procedures, and keep signs and prices accurate. The position starts at the minimum hourly rate and offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality and visual appearance of Bakery Department merchandise (bread, cakes, pies, cookies, rolls).
• Keep the department fully stocked and ready for business.
• Ensure merchandise is signed and priced correctly.
• Adhere to cold chain standards, thermometer calibration, temperature recording and food safety procedures.
• Follow sanitation and cleaning procedures.
• Manage ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels.
• Prepare bakery items by thawing and baking according to guidelines to maintain quality.
• Secure all displays in a safe and proper manner.
