Job summary

Silverhills is seeking a Bakery Assistant to join our team in Abbotsford. You will work closely with the Lead Baker and bakery staff to support production, test products, and prepare daily offerings.

You may handle early shifts and occasional odd hours to meet customer and operational needs, with opportunities to learn our plant-based processes and grow into a Subject Matter Expert role over time.

Qualifications

• Experience with traditional bakery ingredients and products.
• Understanding bakery production principles, processes, and equipment.
• Strong baking skills.

Responsibilities

• Produce baked goods daily in a detailed and timely manner.
• Formulate existing products to meet objectives.
• Provide support to the bakery team.

Job description

Position: Bakery Assistant Reports to: Culinary Manager, GM

We are looking for a Bakery Assistant to join our team! Our Baker’s Assistant will be working closely with the Lead Baker and bakery team to support our product efforts. This includes baking, testing new and existing products or ingredients, and preparing product for each day.

Opportunities

In this role, you will have the chance to apply your problem-solving skills and showcase your knowledge of baking and food principles! You will have opportunities to work on exciting R&D and baking challenges and use your creativity and resourcefulness to achieve unique solutions. You may work odd hours on occasion, including early morning shifts, to accommodate our customer and operational needs. There will be opportunities to grow your skills, learn our unique processes, and with time, develop into a subject matter expert!
