Job summary

Push Operations is seeking a Baker to manage a full day’s baking production from mixing to baking, ensuring every item is prepared according to company recipes and standards.

The role requires operating ovens and equipment safely, maintaining cleanliness, and updating inventory for baked goods. Shift work includes evenings and weekends in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Knowledge of pastry and bread baking methods and ingredients.
• Food safety certification is an asset.

Job description

The Baker runs a full day’s baking production from start (mixing) to finish (baking) and is responsible for the preparation of all baked goods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and bakes menu items according to the company’s recipes and standards
• Safely handles and operates equipment such as utensils, mixers, ovens, and pots and pans
• Complies with prescribed health and safety procedures while executing assigned tasks
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment including removal of waste from bakery area
• Updates inventory records of food and supplies for relevant areas of production
• Maintains supply storage room for production of baked goods
• Performs other additional duties as assigned

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Specialized knowledge

• Knowledge of the types and grades of ingredients used in general pastry and bread baking
• Knowledge of methods and equipment used in baking
