Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including cakes, pastries, and bread, ensuring high-quality standards
• Decorate cakes and desserts with creative designs, utilizing cake decorating techniques to meet customer specifications
• Handle food preparation tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients efficiently and accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety protocols
• Package baked goods for retail sale or catering orders with attention to presentation and freshness
• Assist customers with product selections, answer questions about ingredients or dietary considerations, and provide exceptional customer service
• Follow all food handling procedures to ensure safety and compliance with health regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or food preparation within a restaurant or bakery environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures
• Strong skills in food industry practices including kitchen experience, food handling, and packaging
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Experience with food industry equipment such as mixers, ovens, and decorating tools is preferred
• Flexibility to work during peak hours including weekends if necessary; however, the position primarily involves daytime hours
