Job summary

Lyft in Toronto is seeking an enthusiastic software engineering intern to work alongside top engineers. You will own small projects, refactor code, and help push features live quickly in a collaborative, in-office hybrid environment.

The role requires pursuing a CS degree in Canada with graduation 2027–2028, strong CS fundamentals, great communication, and interest in real-time systems, databases, and mobile development.

Responsibilities

• Own your project, while checking in with other team members throughout the day with questions and updates
• You leave the code in a better state than when you found it (progressive refactor)
• You value reliability, ensured by testing (unit, integration and load tests)
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and distribute knowledge
• Continuous integration and deployment
