Job summary

Lyft is seeking interns in Toronto to work closely with top engineers on real, user-facing data-driven products. You will own your projects, refactor code for better quality, and contribute to reliable systems with automated testing and CI/CD.

The internship requires pursuing a Canadian degree in CS/Data Science with a graduation window of late 2027 to 2028, and availability in Summer 2027. The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and a passion for community and transportation.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Data Science or related major from a university in Canada (required).
• Graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028 (required).
• Available Summer 2027 for an internship in Toronto.
• Strong knowledge of CS fundamentals.
• Knowledge of SQL and data modeling fundamentals.
• Experience working with databases.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in solving large-scale data problems in a real world scenario.
• Passion for community, sustainability, and/or transportation.

Responsibilities

Experience:

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $40 - CAD $45 per hour. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
