We are looking for a curious and driven Backend Software Engineer Co-op to join our team and gain hands-on experience building the tools and systems that power our games. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with engineers and cross-functional teams to support high-performance development environments, streamline workflows, and make a real impact behind the scenes of our game production. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the technology that brings our games to life.
In this role, you can expect to be involved in:
  • Writing, testing, and maintaining code in alignment with coding standards and best practices
  • Collaborating effectively with team members, participating in code reviews, and following established development processes
  • Debugging and resolving software issues by providing effective solutions
  • Maintaining clear and concise documentation for code and project-related materials
  • Continuously learning and improving technical skills and domain knowledge
  • Communicating progress, challenges, and updates to team members and stakeholders
  • Adhering to project deadlines and milestones while managing tasks efficiently
  • Seeking mentorship and sharing knowledge to contribute to team growth
What you'd bring to the team:
  • You're a 3rd or 4th year in a post-secondary Bachelor's program in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • A solid understanding of C#, Node.js or C++
  • The ability to write clean, simple, well-documented code from design requirements
  • A proven track record of working independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team setting
  • Exposure to Android / iOS Mobile application development
  • Up-to-date knowledge on the latest mobile gaming trends
  • The ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical team members
  • Experience working in Agile, Kanban, or similar project management methodologies
