Job summary

IKEA Gruppe in Toronto, Canada, is hiring a Food Co-worker to join our IKEA Food team. You will prepare, cook, and serve food, operate POS systems, and maintain a welcoming store environment while upholding food safety standards.

We value friendly, efficient service and teamwork. The role involves flexible shifts including evenings and weekends, standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and contributing to daily operations and customer experience. Starting wage is 20.15 CAD per hour.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in food service, hospitality, retail, or customer-facing roles.
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
• Ability to prepare, cook, and serve food while maintaining food safety standards.
• Comfortable operating POS systems and handling customer transactions.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team.
