Job summary

Tomlinson Group of Companies seeks an experienced AZ Triaxle Driver to operate straight trucks in the greater Ottawa area. The role includes pre-trip inspections, cargo securing, logging, and safe handling of loads.

The ideal candidate has an AZ license, 3+ years of driving experience, and flexibility to work weekends. Physical ability to load/unload and maintain the truck is required, with benefits and training from the company.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ Driver's License
• 3+ years' experience
• Floating experience is asset
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends
• Physically able to get in and out of truck repeatedly
• Maintain vehicle inside and out for next day

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks to transport goods in Ottawa area
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections
• Ensure cargo is secured per safety requirements
• Record cargo info, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel
• Manage bills of lading and logs
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
• Operate equipment safely and efficiently
