Job summary

Canada Cartage Group is seeking dependable AZ drivers to join our Ontario transportation team. You will operate Tractor-Trailer units, complete deliveries and pickups, and secure loads with proper equipment.

Expect varied schedules including weekends and potential overnight runs in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities emphasize safety, accurate e-logs and documentation, and strict adherence to hours-of-service rules.

Qualifications

  • Valid AZ license and bondable status; legally eligible to work in Canada.
  • Clean CVOR and driving abstract required; verifiable recent commercial driving experience within 3 months to 1 year.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement.
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions.
  • Ability to complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight across Ontario.
  • Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Ontario in a safe, timely and professional manner.
  • Operate Tractor-Trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Secure freight using straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards.
  • Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues promptly.
  • Complete delivery paperwork, e-logs, and incident reports accurately.
  • Maintain hours-of-service compliance and safety policies.
  • Maintain flexibility for variable schedules, weekends, and overnight runs as required.

Shift Schedule: DaysandAfternoons, Monday–Fridaywith Weekend Availability

Start Time: Day Shift: 5am Afternoon Shift: 12pm

We are seeking dependable, safety-focused, and customer-oriented drivers to join our growing transportation team. This role is ideal for professionals who take pride in their work, consistently deliver high-quality service, and can operate safely and professionally in a fast-paced environment while representing the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate company vehicles to transport freight acrossOntario
  • Complete deliveries and pickups to customer locations within Ontarioin a safe, timely, and professional manner
  • Operate Tractor-Trailer equipment in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Secure freight using appropriate equipment such as straps, chains, and load bars, ensuring compliance with load-securement standards
  • Transport general freight in accordance with safety and regulatory guidelines
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections of the vehicle, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement; promptly report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
  • Accurately complete all required documentation, including e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork, and incident reports
  • Maintain compliance with hours-of-service regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
  • Maintain flexibility to meet operational and customer demands, including variable schedules, overtime, weekends, or overnight runs as required
Core Requirements
  • Valid AZ driver's license
  • Bondable and legally eligible to work in Canada
  • Clean CVOR and driver’s abstract
  • Verifiable recent commercial driving experience within the past 3 months to 1 year
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations, hours of service, and load securement
  • Experience operating commercial vehicles in winter driving conditions
  • Ability to accurately complete eLogs, vehicle inspection reports, and delivery documentation
  • Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and upto 75lbs for some locations
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a professional, safety-focused approach
Role-Specific Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of verifiable AZ driving experience
  • Strong knowledge of Oshawaand surrounding areas
  • Previous experience operating specialized equipment power and manual pallet jacks, pump trucks
  • Ability to safely perform hand-bombing, including manual loading and unloading of freight, as required
