About The Role

Reporting
The Avionics Technician, Instrument Shop reports directly to the Avionics Shop Manager.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

1. Using a strong electronics background and mechanical skills to repair avionics instruments.
2. Use Company electronics test equipment to troubleshoot electronics components.
3. Learn the use of Quantum to prepare work reports and forms for customers.
4. Work in a team environment to support fellow technicians.
5. Open to self-improvement by on-the-job learning and self-motivating home study of various shop manuals.
6. Perform well with Company provided update training such as SMS and Human Factors.
7. Other shop duties as assigned by the Shop Manager.

Qualifications

1. Formal Electronics Training (Electronics Engineering Technologist or Technician diploma (CEGEP)).
2. Familiar with troubleshooting of electronics and electro-mechanical components and systems.
3. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Experience

1. Minimum 2 years' experience in related field with strong mechanical and/or electronic background.
2. Aviation experience is considered an asset.
