Job summary

Field Service Canada is seeking a driven Audio Visual Integration Technician (Level 1) to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area. This entry-level position offers exposure to theatrical lighting, audio, system design, and installation across Canada.

You will work under a Senior Field Service technician, perform preventative maintenance, and help document projects with accuracy while traveling as needed to client sites.

Qualifications

• Effective communication with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans and project documents.
• Basic familiarity with electrical and AV systems.
• Willingness to travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

• Gain experience in theatrical lighting, audio, systems design, and installation both on site and at head office.
• Work alongside and under the direction of a Senior Field Service technician.
• Perform preventative maintenance visits to help maintain client systems.
• Take responsibility to accurately complete job documentation as needed including organizing and maintaining Field Service Canada files, drawings, reports and configurations in both paper and electronic format.
• Field installation of control programs (QSC, ETC Lighting, Crestron) – upload and download capability.
• Field service support of networked devices (Switches, Routers, WAPs).
• Perform general skilled labour tasks including but not limited to pulling cable, low voltage terminations, installing connectors, mounting projectors, and hanging ceiling mounts.
• Adhere to and understand WSIB standards for all phases of the job.
• Represent both the Company and its clients, professionally and respectfully.
• Working at heights on aerial lifts and ladders.
• Maintain incoming repairs/bench work and shipping & receiving.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
