Job summary
ParaMed in Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for part-time community visits. You will deliver ethical, safe nursing care, assess patients, and follow care plans with support from RNs for complex cases.
Travel to patient residences within your designated area is required, and you will build trusting relationships in the home setting. This role offers autonomy, flexible scheduling including every other weekend off, comprehensive health and dental benefits, education allowances,
Qualifications
- Current license as RPN with CNO in good standing.
- Valid driver’s license and vehicle access.
- Experience in community/home care is an asset.
- Reliable and flexible with willingness to travel.
- Comfort working with vulnerable populations and on-call coverage.
Responsibilities
- Participate in scheduled community visits to assess patient needs.
- Provide ethical, safe nursing care within scope of practice.
- Use assessment tools to tailor patient care plans.
- Execute and adjust care plans as required.
- Build rapport/trust with patients and maintain records.
