Job summary

Fountain Tire Red Deer is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join our team. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger and light trucks, including TPMS work, in a clean and safe shop environment.

Qualifications

• Experience is a plus, but training will be provided.
• Customer-service focus with ability to build relationships.

• Maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory abstract.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and inventory.
• Ability to lift 25 kilograms consistently.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair passenger and light truck tires and wheels.
• Reset and repair TPMS; maintain tire service equipment regularly.
• Perform specialty tire work (studding, retread, nitrogen, etc.).
• Assist in inventory management and annual counts.
• Adhere to safety practices to protect yourself and teammates.
• Provide excellent service to customers and colleagues.

Overview

Fountain Tire Red Deer (6195 67A Street), an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• Someone with previous experience would be great, however we are willing to train motivated individuals with a positive attitude
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
