Job summary

Tirecraft is seeking an Automotive Service Technician at Haugh Tirecraft in Exeter, Ontario. This hourly role offers wages from $28.00 to $38.00 based on experience. You will work with service advisors, diagnose automotive issues, perform maintenance, and communicate repair needs to customers.

Responsibilities

• Interact with Service Advisors to obtain work orders and customer service specifics.
• Inspect motor in operation, road test vehicle, and test automotive systems to diagnose.
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Evaluate and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services (oil changes, lubrication, tune-ups).
• Communicate with customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Inspect and test mechanical units (engines, transmissions, brakes) to locate faults.
• Diagnose faults and decide whether to repair or replace components.
• Repair or replace mechanical units using hand and power tools.
• Complete detailed inspection reports showing problems and work performed.
• Maintain ability to work independently.

• Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Evaluate and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s performance specification.
• Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups.
• Effectively communicate with customers on work performed, general vehicle condition and future repair requirements.
• Inspect and test mechanical units, such as engines, transmissions, axles, and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.
• Complete detailed inspection reports to record problems and work performed.
• Consistently able to work independently
