Job summary

Wood Automotive Group is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our Calgary service department. You will drive performance, coach a skilled team of advisors and technicians, and ensure an exceptional service experience for every customer.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will optimize workflow, maintain safety standards, manage profitability, and collaborate with Parts and Sales to maximize customer loyalty and department results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of automotive management and leadership experience.
• Previous Service Management or fixed operations experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of retail service operations.
• Valid Alberta Class 5 driver's licence and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Service Department.
• Manage departmental performance including productivity and profitability.
• Lead, coach, train, and develop Service Advisors, Technicians, and other team members.
• Establish clear performance expectations and accountability.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and resolve escalated concerns.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, and efficiency.
• Collaborate with Parts, Sales, and other departments to maintain workflow.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety standards, and regulations.
• Foster a positive, accountable, results-driven team environment.
• Promote Wood Automotive Group values to build long-term customer loyalty.
