Canadian Tire Stores is seeking a Service Manager to lead the Automotive Service Centre team and ensure efficient operation while delivering an exceptional customer experience in a family and diverse environment. Reporting to the Store Manager/General Manager, you will help establish sales objectives, cost controls and growth strategies with the Associate Dealer.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or managerial experience in a service environment.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Deep knowledge of automotive service operations and financial principles.
• Ability to plan, organize and manage team activities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Foster a culture that values excellent customer service.
• Maintain the department’s presentation quality to meet customer expectations.
• Achieve sales goals, productivity and customer service targets set by the Associate Dealer.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies to attract and retain customers.
• Review and implement Service Centre policies and procedures.
• Plan and manage work and projects considering team skills, wait times and parts availability.
• Train, supervise, coach and motivate team members.
• Manage performance and provide constructive feedback; recognize achievements.
• Prepare schedules within budget guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and health & safety programs.
• Keep abreast of best practices impacting the Service Centre.
• Establish training structures and professional development within the Centre.
• Assist with store opening/closing responsibilities.
• Assist in selecting and orientating new employees.
• Resolve issues and conflicts to ensure customer and employee satisfaction.
• Build rapport with internal and external customers or vendors.
