Job summary

The City of Kitchener seeks a temporary Full Time Fleet Technician to wash, fuel and perform daily CVOR inspections on municipal vehicles. You will inspect, maintain and repair City trucks and related equipment, and document work in the FLINT Fleet Management System.

Minimum Grade 12 and hands-on mechanical experience are required; familiarity with OHSA and safe work practices is essential. A reliable, safety-conscious team player with basic hand tools will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
• Experience performing Legislated Daily Vehicle Inspections on CVOR Air Brake equipped and medium duty vehicles.
• Experience in a mechanical area and must be mechanically inclined.
• Knowledge of OHSA applicable to Fleet operations.
