Job summary

PBS Systems is seeking a STT Trainer – Fixed Ops to deliver effective training on the PBS Dealer Management Software, focusing on Parts and/or Service silos. You will train customers in both virtual and in-person sessions and support them through implementation.

Travel within North America up to one week per month is required; a valid passport and full driver’s license are needed. The role reports to the Team Lead, Software Training & Transitions and offers growth opportunities in a fast-growing

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in a car dealership environment, Fixed Operations.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Willingness to travel within Canada and the USA up to 1 week per month.

Responsibilities

• Deliver effective training and support to customers on PBS Dealer Management Software (Parts/Service silos).
• Train sessions in both virtual and in-person formats and assist with installations.

The Role:

The Software Training & Transitions (STT) Trainer – Fixed Ops is responsible for delivering effective training and support to customers on the PBS Dealer Management Software, Parts and/or Service silos. This role focuses on ensuring customers gain the knowledge and confidence needed to successfully use the software, both through virtual and in-person training sessions. You will develop a thorough understanding of all software modules, assist with new software installations, and provide ongoing support throughout the implementation process.

Job Responsibilities:

• Learn and develop an understanding of all areas of the PBS software and the process for training customers on the PBS software
• Develop a strong understanding of data entry processes and other essential tasks
• Work directly with customers and train all sessions in assigned module(s)
• Maintain a positive relationship with customers, identifying customer needs and ensure they are being met
• Responds to internal and external training requests in a timely manner
• Write up tickets and investigate issues that arise, **escalate** issues to corresponding teams
• Ensure STT queue is monitored
• Maintain documentation and update as processes change within department
• Knowledge sharing within own module and others within STT
• Take the initiative to learn new products to increase knowledge
• Willingness to commit to an ongoing system of education and cross-training
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

MUST HAVE Skills:

• 1-2 years' experience in a car dealership environment, with a focus in Fixed Operations
• Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). The ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools is essential!
• Ability to travel within Canada and the USA up to 1 week per month; valid passport, visa (if applicable), and full driver's license are required

• Excellent communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
• PBS software experience is a strong asset
• Experience facilitating in-person and virtual training sessions is a strong asset
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
• Effective time management and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
