Job summary

Cosma International in Ontario is seeking an Engineering Student Intern to gain hands-on automotive engineering experience. You will assist in CAD drawings, participate in projects from inception to completion, and support continuous improvement and maintenance planning.

The role involves travel to customers and suppliers, contributes to cycle-time studies, and requires a proactive, safety-conscious approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Mechanical Engineering/Technology Degree/Diploma or equivalent (<140 chars).
• Some experience with CAD (<140 chars).

Responsibilities

• CAD drawing of components, tooling or workstations.
• Travel to customers/vendors to investigate quality concerns; tooling build process and buyoffs.
• Involved in projects at any stage from inception to completion.
• Prepare cycle-time analysis and/or time studies, to facilitate line balancing.
• Prepares reports, charts and other documentation required for engineering records and projects.
• Assist in developing material handling logistics.
• Assist in setting up preventative/predictive maintenance requirements.
• Provide product design direction based on part manufacturability.
