Job summary

Magna International Limited in Concord, Ontario is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design robust production processes for automotive exteriors and lead continuous improvement initiatives across extrusion, roll forming and injection molding.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform time studies, update PFMEA and control plans, and drive cost reductions through Lean Manufacturing and standardized work to meet schedule, quality and safety goals.

Qualifications

• Must have Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Degree or Diploma.
• 5+ years of experience in an Automotive Manufacturing environment.
• Specialized knowledge & know how to conduct higher-level analysis.
• Prioritize tasks to take action with partial responsibility and minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical knowledge to ensure robust manufacturing process design prior to launch.
• Lead production improvement projects and drive CI initiatives.
• Set up and maintain standardized work instructions and PFMEA documents.
• Perform time studies and identify capacity constraints to improve efficiencies.
• Support new product launches and changes with engineering input and risk reduction.
