Job summary

Westburne is seeking an Outside Automation Sales Specialist to drive revenue for Rockwell PLCs, HMIs, software, and networking solutions. You will manage a Central Ontario territory, build pipelines, and present technical proposals while coordinating with product specialists and supply chain to ensure successful project delivery.

The role requires hands-on pre-sales support, BOM creation, and a customer-focused approach with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, or Automation Technology from a recognized institution.
Minimum of two years’ experience combining PLC programming/control system work with technical product sales or sales engineering (Rockwell experience preferred).
Practical experience with Rockwell Automation PLC platforms and software (e.g., ControlLogix/CompactLogix, Studio 5000/RSLogix, FactoryTalk View, RSLinx).

Responsibilities

Own sales targets and develop a territory sales plan for PLC, HMI, control software and services.
Build and manage a predictable opportunity pipeline using CRM and forecast sales.
Prepare commercial proposals, technical quotes, and Bills of Materials; negotiate pricing and scope.
Coordinate pre-sales and post-sales activities with internal teams to ensure project delivery and satisfaction.
Lead campaigns, workshops, and executive briefings to drive product adoption.
