Maple Leaf Foods Inc. is seeking an Automation Leader for our Heritage facility in Canada.

The role focuses on developing the automation strategy, resource planning, disaster recovery, production support, and budgeting to improve equipment efficiency. The position requires leadership over the Automation Team, experience with PLC, HMI, MES, SCADA, and Robotics, and a strong track record in reliability maintenance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Engineering or a combination of 15 years of progressive manufacturing operations, equipment knowledge and project execution.
• Experience in Engineering Change Control Process and Design Reviews.
• Experience in Level 2 Control Systems such as SCADA and MES.
• Experience in the implementation and integration of Robotics.
• Must be a data driven decision-maker who builds effective teams and communicates well.
• Strong analytical skills with a history of solving complex problems and leveraging information systems.

Responsabilités

• Lead and Support the Automation Team to align with Automation Strategy Plan.
• Support and backup plan for all plant Control and Automation systems (PLC, PC, HMI, MES, SCADA, Robotics).
• Develop and manage a change control system for PLC/HMI and related documents.
• Manage the Instrumentation program to meet FSQA, regulatory and operational requirements.
• Develop predictive, preventative and proactive maintenance requirements for controls systems.
