Definity is seeking a capable leader to oversee an Auto Claims team, focusing on development, quality assurance through audits, and productivity while managing budgets and supporting hiring efforts.

You will mentor staff, drive operational excellence, and ensure adherence to processes and corporate policies. This role emphasizes coaching, performance feedback, and strong customer interaction skills in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of claims experience, focusing on direct handling of Auto claims
• 1-2 years of supervisory experience
• Strong organizational, negotiation, analytical and interpersonal skills
• University degree or College diploma in a relevant discipline; CIP designation required
• Professional, friendly, and courteous in all interactions
• Calm under pressure and adaptable to change
• Strong customer-interaction focus and proven performance management experience
• Natural coach and mentor
• Fluently bilingual (English & French) is an asset

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned team of Auto Claims Representatives and provide technical direction
• Provide on-the-job training and leadership to staff
• Complete audits by reviewing claims files and giving feedback
• Foster staff development through hiring, evaluations and training opportunities
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to the Auto team
• Manage team expenses and annual operating budget
• Initiate interviews for vacancies and recommend new hires
